Hey friend!

September is flying by, isn’t it?! Next thing you know, the new year will be upon us, and I don’t know if I’m ready for all of that. However, I am ready to let you know that I’ve just posted a new Chronicles segment in the blog. Go ahead and give it a read HERE.

Gay as an Insult — The Black Quirky Queer

I've been called many things that were meant to hurt me, and sometimes they did hurt. But one thing that will never hurt me is being called gay, which I know pisses some homophobes off.

As I was writing this post, I was experiencing all of the emotions that I felt way back when that I thought I’d forgotten about, and it drudged up some more recent memories I experienced at work. You can read about my workplace drama in the blog post How Does That Make Sense?

Also, if you’ve experienced any homophobia directly, indirectly, or in anyway, I am sorry you had to experience that, first off. Secondly, please know that there is nothing wrong with you. You are perfect just the way you are. 💜
