It’s been a while! Life has been lifing and just doing the most. However, I’m happy to report that I’ve just published a new blog post in honor of Black Business Month. So, pretty please, go ahead and give it a read below. If you like what you’ve read, please comment and share.
My Plans for August
There’s so much to do this month, and I wish I could do it all. But I’m gonna take it easy and only do a handful of things. Maybe! Your girl is tired and is taking care of her mother and grandmother. So, even with the plans I make, they are subject to change. With that said, I’ve already got a couple places in mind.
I visited Ruby Scoops last year and blogged about it, and because I absolutely love ice cream, I’m going to go back and get some more. It was so good, y’all. If you’re in the Richmond area, go check them out.
This will be my first time attending the Black Expo. I’m really excited and nervous! I don’t know what to expect or who will be there, but I’m gonna be a big girl and go. I did see that Lamman Rucker will be at one of the events. I’m just not sure if he’ll be in attendance on Saturday. Let’s hope, though!
There are a couple more places I would like to visit in celebration of Black business month, but those plans aren’t solidified because I don’t want to pack my schedule too much. Also, if you have any places in mind, let me know. I want to try to support as many Black people as possible.
Another event I’d like to attend is the 44th Annual Carytown Watermelon Festival. After all this time in Richmond, I’ve never been to the watermelon festival. Shameful, I know! But I’m going to make things right by stopping by for a short while. If I can get my hands on a watermelon, a watermelon drink, and maybe some watermelon ice cream (I don’t even know if that’ll be a thing), I’ll be alright.
